2019 Summer Camp

Appian Way: The Clarence DeMar Story

Appian Way.jpg

This year’s one-week camp will be led by NHDI’s Artistic Director Kristen Leach, and hosted by Keene State College’s Kids on Campus program.

Running is a great way to stay healthy, fit, and energized, and it's also important to the Keene community through the annual DeMar Marathon. But who was Clarence DeMar? What and where is Appian Way? Join us for a fun week of dance in the Main Theatre of Redfern Arts Center as we learn all about the history of DeMar.  We'll do a little bit of running outdoors to check out the KSC campus, and end the week with a full theatrical production on stage!

Location:  Redfern Arts Center at Keene State College

Dates:  Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28

Times:  9:00am – 4:00pm

Fee: $200 before May 1; $225 after May 1

The Summer Camp is open to children entering 4th through 8th grades for the 2019-20 school year. No prior dance experience is necessary!

A free performance for family and friends will be held on the final day of camp, Friday, June 28, at Redfern Arts Center.
