The Climb
NHDI will produce the 2026 Event of the Year, The Climb. Join the New Hampshire Dance Institute on May 22nd and 23rd to celebrate 40 years of joyful dancing in our schools as 400 dancers perform our annual Event of the Year... The Climb! This year, our story magnifies Grand Monadnock. Our beautiful mountain rises into our skyline and offers us all a sense of place and belonging. Known for being among the most hiked mountains in the world, reaching Monadnock's summit is a common goal for many in our region. But what happens when a young hiker sets out to meet her goal, and encounters many challenges? What happens to a goal if we don't reach it? What happens to us all when we meet obstacles?
"The Climb" was NHDI's show that didn't happen in 2020. This year, we will reclaim those dances and this story. We will celebrate with current dancers and alumni spanning our 40 year history (including those from 2020) to revisit our goal of performing this particular show. Please join us for this truly unique and extraordinary event.
NHDI's art education program uses the art of dance and music to communicate, educate and engage the youth in our community. While the arts are always an important piece of a child's education, it is evident that they need this support and mentorship today more than ever and NHDI's program is essential to their mental and physical well-being.
